The inventor of the first modern-atlas that was originally branded as Theatrum Orbis Terrarum (Theatre of the World) and was released on 1570 produced by Abraham Ortelius.Google honored the contribution of Abraham Ortelius to this day and with a doodle celebration on Sunday.

Ortelius also help established the Netherlandish School of Cartography and an illustrious advocator on his period of time. He is the first person who believed that our continents were connected to each other.

He was originally lived in Antwerp and moved to Habsburg Netherlands. He flew all over Europe and generally tripped to Seventeen Provinces and begin his lifework in scientific research.


He can speak seven languages containing Greek, Latin, French, Italian, Dutch, Spanish and several words of German aside from English. He acquired history and classical literature and goes on with his loved of science.


He was the first who made the maps of  Ireland, Italy, France, Germany, Netherland and many places that he got to discover.

 He is one of the most anticipated cartographies that helps us enhanced our knowledge about how the place looks alike and made such a breakthrough art that gives us the view of his lifetime achievement.
